Wat Luang Temple
- The Wat Luang Temple is the town’s most beautiful and largest of the Buddhist temples in the region.
- Built in the year 1935, the temple houses lovely murals and decorations galore.

- Explore the temple’s architecture and be amazed at the golden Buddha image inside in the “Calling the Earth to Witness” pose in the congregation hall.
- Make sure that you visit the chedis, one containing the ashes of former PM of Laos and also the Buddhist school.
How to get to the Wat Luang Temple?
Easily found as it is just adjacent to the Xe Don River on the Route no. 13 en-route to the airport.
- This Wat is just a short walk from the center of Pakse.
