Wat Phra Si Sanphet
- Served as the most beautiful and grand temple in the city until the city was completely destroyed by the Burmese in 1767
- Three Chedis over here can still be viewed
- A significant historical site
What can you find there?
- The Chedis are bell shaped and are designed in the Ceylonese style
- There is a mondop which houses the footprints of the Buddha that you get to view up close
- The Phra Phuttha Lokanat statue which is 10m high can be seen too
- The rest of the ruins which remain that are destroyed by the war are a site to see as you walk along the grounds
