Tham Chang Cave

- The Tham Chang Cave in Laos is one of the popular ones which can be reached via a bridge placed over the Nam Song River and a flight of stairs.
- Its popularity is more due to being used as a bunker during the Chinese-Ho invasion in the early 19 th century!
What can you find there?
- Swim in the warm pool at the entrance to the cave!
- Go picnicking in the region just down from the cave area.
- Take the path leading to stunning and picturesque scenery around overlooking the mountains!
- Go through all the well- lit chambers and take pics in it.
- Go find the stalactite where you tap thrice and make a wish or go and check the hole where the naga lives, or the monk’s chair and the elephant.
How to get to the Tham Chang Cave?
Meuang Xong Village, Vang Vieng, Laos.
- You may follow the river road south of Meuang Xong village, pay the entrance fee at the gate of Vang Vieng Resort and cross the bridge over the Nam Xong to the steps leading up the cliff to Tham Chang.
