PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI (Persero) is a state-owned shipping company which was established on April 28, 1952 in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Transportation No. M2/1/2 dated 28 April 1952. This company is engaged in reliable and professional sea transportation services by providing the best service for customers.

PT PELNI operates a fleet of passenger ships, fast ferries and a fleet of freight ships. Our company serves domestic routes and stops at more than 94 ports throughout the archipelago. The facilities and services we provide for our fleet are designed to guarantee safety and comfort standards for customers and sea crew, supported by professional human resources who prioritize customer satisfaction.

In its development, PT PELNI does not only serve ship transportation services. Supported by the Sea Highway Program from the Government, PT PELNI currently operates 8 (eight) Sea Toll Vessels serving container transportation/loading in the form of staple foodstuffs and building materials for infrastructure development. In addition, PT PELNI also has a Ship Agency service that is ready to meet all the needs of ships while in Indonesian waters. PT PELNI also supports the development of Indonesian marine tourism by providing marine tourism package services to islands that have underwater beauty and amazing natural scenery, such as the Raja Ampat Islands, Wakatobi, Banda Neira, Komodo Island, Takabonerate, Karimun Jawa, Bunaken, Anambas, Derawan and Tomini.
