Tawau Hills National Park

Teck Guan Cocoa Museum
Learn about the history of cocoa from all over the world over at this museum that was opened in 2002. It takes about 30 minutes to get here from Tawau city by car for this educational guided tour by the Teck Guan Cocoa Museum staff member. Learn about its origins, how it is being processed and what are the things that can be made out of cocoa. You will have the chance to do some cocoa sampling in the kitchen before ending the tour. If you are looking to explore further, you can even book a night or two at the Cocoa Village Stay to witness the cocoa plants and have a relaxing time.

Tawau Tanjung Market
With a reputation for being the largest indoor market in Malaysia, the Tawau Tanjung Market is filled with dry produce and seafood. This market holds over 6,000 stalls in a massive building and many visitors to Tawau will definitely stop to buy the dried seafood to bring home. You can also find vegetables, kitchen ware, souvenirs and many others. From salted fish to sea cucumber, you can find it all here at the bustling Tawau Tanjung Market. Tawau Hot Spring Park
This is a popular tourist attraction among visitors to Sabah. The Tawau Hot Spring Park was founded over 50 years ago that became a place for “wishing well” as well as a family picnic place. Immerse your body into the hot water in the natural hot spring and forget about all your worries of your daily life.
