Kepi Ferry Terminal, also known as Pelabuhan MAF Kepi is situated right in the heart of South Papua and is recognize for river transport in Mappi Regency. The port was called as a remote region home as it helps local people via sea transportation to travel from one place to another. It was completely built in 2023 and surrounded by vast lowlands, swamps and winding rivers. The local government saw the need and came up with a smart solution which is by building a floating dock system. The floating dock moves up and down with the Obaa River, so it doesn’t get stuck in a fixed position that might not work during floods or dry periods.
