Widely known as the Malaysian rice bowl, the state of Kedah has records dating back to the 5th century making it the most ancient state in Malaysia. The train station is also situated between Alor Setar Railway Station in the north and Gurun Railway Station in the south.
To get to Kobah Railway Station, board a KTM Komuter train from any train station that runs along the route commuting to the train station in Kobah. Travel duration differs depending on the departing station. It takes less than one hour to reach Kobah from Butterworth.
Public transportations within the area of Kobah is limited and no shuttle buses can be accessed. Other modes of transports to get to Kobah Railway Station include grabbing a taxi or book a car-sharing service.
Currently, train services within Kobah Railway Station are operated by the Malaysian well-established train operator, KTM Berhad. The train station serves regular KTM Komuter trains for the northern regions covering the route between Butterworth and Padang Besar. With regular train schedules, Kobah Railway Station provides several facilities for the convenience of public use. The train station consists of a ticketing counter as well as a few information boards displaying train routes and train timetables.
Basic amenities within the railway station include toilets as well as a Muslim prayer room. A sheltered waiting area is also provided with benches for passengers to wait upon departures.
